Lauren Graham was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Donna Grant and Lawrence Graham who was a lobbyist for the candy industry. Her father is from New York and her mother was from her native American South, and Lauren is of Irish, English, and Scottish heritage. Lauren was born to Northern Virginia, USA. (Fairfax, Arlington, Great Falls, VA). She graduated from Langley High School, McLean, VA. Graduating from Barnard College, with a bachelor's degree in English. She earned her degree from Southern Methodist University in acting with a Master's Degree. She was raised by only one parent: her father. As she grew older and her parents separated.
